Climbing, Courage and Team-Spirit

Excitement was in the air from the very start of the morning: the preschool children – our “Schuwidus” – set off on a trip to the climbing hall. After a short welcome, they went straight into the hall via the red slide, and following a joint warm-up with the climbing coaches Nino and Charlie, everyone was ready for the climbing wall.

After the safety briefing, the group spread out across different stations: obstacles, tyres, first routes on the wall, as well as belaying and climbing with ropes. Some children approached the challenge cautiously while others set off with determination and quickly reached the higher holds. All of them discovered just how much strength, coordination and skill they have.

It was wonderful to see how the children gradually overcame their fears – and how proud many of them were of their achievements. The coaches supported the group attentively, providing reassurance and encouraging the children to find their own solutions.
The climbing day became a memorable experience that strengthened both courage and self-confidence and brought the group even closer together.
