Guidance After the AbiBac: Information on Parcoursup

On 26 January, our German School hosted an information event dedicated to Parcoursup, aimed specifically at our sixth-form students and their parents.
The goal was to make the entire Parcoursup process easier to understand and to equip everyone involved with the knowledge they need to prepare confidently and in a well-structured way for the period after the Abitur/AbiBac.
The session covered the following topics:

• The key dates in the Parcoursup calendar, helping families plan ahead and avoid missing important deadlines
• A step-by-step explanation of how the platform works, enabling participants to better understand each stage of the process
• How parents can support their children at every phase, ensuring families can act as active partners in this important decision about the future
• How to put together a well-considered list of study choices that reflects students’ strengths and interests

The event also provided plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion. By the end, everyone had a much clearer picture of how Parcoursup is structured and what to pay particular attention to.

Through events like this, we aim as a German School to support our students and their families as effectively as possible in planning their next steps after graduation so that they can move into the next stage of life well informed and with clear goals.
