Hello school!

Welcome at the DST: the second graders welcomed our youngest learners on their first and big day with the DST song.

After last year’s ceremony – the ‘Einschulungsfeier’ – had to be limited due to Corona, this year’s ABC students were finally welcomed in a fitting manner.

Who am I sitting next to? Is there homework for today? After the ceremonial part, the new classes 1a and 1b and their teachers went to their classrooms, excited and a little nervous. They unpacked their pencil cases and got to experience what it feels like to be a pupil for the first time.

After an hour and a half, they went home again, and the children were able to devote themselves to the second most important event of the day: unwrapping their „Schultüte, a cone-shaped bag first graders traditionally receive on their very first day at school. It’s filled with sweets and small gifts awaited with great anticipation!
