Senbazuru or 1000 cranes

Thanks to the initiative of some students in grade 5, paper cranes in various colours are currently being folded in Origami-technique at the DST. In Japan, a crane traditionally fulfills a wish; 1000 cranes always form a unit – and just as many paper birds will be collectively created. Our wish: peace, especially for the people in Ukraine.

The cranes will be sent by post to Hiroshima at the beginning of July and there, stamped with a peace stamp, they will be strung together in a garland and hung up. The paper birds will be collected at the Eurocampus until the end of June.
