Swap Shop at Secondary School: An Initiative for More Sustainable Consumption

Just before Christmas, students at the German School Toulouse Secondary School could be seen swapping items.
Clothes, jewelry, toys, games, books, CDs, DVDs, and home decor were just a few of the items exchanged as part of the “Active for Climate” initiative.

The initiative, organized by both teachers and students, was not only meant to raise awareness about the impact of overconsumption, but also to highlight the joys of sustainable consumption.

In the end, every item found a new owner, as any items that weren’t claimed were donated to those in need.
